In the beginning, the company insurance covered farm buildings basically against loss through fire. Today, however, the coverage offered by this same company is extensive. In 1984, the Erie Mutual purchased an office building in Dunnville, Ontario. After renovations the head office was moved from Fisherville, Ontario to a more central location in Dunnville. With surplus over 11 million dollars, the company has continued to grow, to change with the current needs of the mutual insurance industry but at the same time, not lose site of the objectives of which our predecessors originally set forth over a century ago in Rainham Township. There are now five agents for the company and the territory takes in the rural areas along the shores of Lake Erie from Niagara to Nanticoke, Ontario.
