When you contact the Erie Mutual Insurance office during regular business hours you’ll need to speak with a Claims Adjuster. They’ll need details regarding the claim so it’s best to have as much prepared for the call as you possibly can, this information will assist us to assess what we need to do as the next step in helping you.
If you’re reporting damage to an automobile we typically assign an independent appraiser who can complete the necessary assessment we require. This estimate can be sent to a body shop of your choice for repairs to begin without delay, sometimes as quickly as within a day of your accident. Require a rental while your vehicle is being fixed? Depending on availability and coverage under your policy, you’ll have access to a rental almost immediately, and for the time necessary until we can get you back into your own car. Remember, it’s completely your choice which body shop does the repair, we want you to be satisfied with the work to your vehicle throughout this process.
What About a Property Claim
Damage to your home, property or your business will require that our Erie Mutual adjuster visit with you at the location of loss. We make every effort to be there as soon as possible from the time of your call. You instantly become our priority! Assuming no issues with the coverage purchased under your policy, our next step will be ensuring that a contractor is available to start the necessary work immediately. Depending on extent and type of damage will determine the length of time required for repair, a typical water damage claim can normally be cleaned and dried within 4-5 business days.
